Hot, sleepy and silly

September 4, 2017 by Katelyn

Burrito was curled up in the corner of the greenhouse this afternoon sooo hot and sooo sleepy. In-between barely being able to keep his eyes open, he intermittently somehow found time to still be adorable without having to get up or really move outside of spinning around on his back to face the opposite direction. But adorable, this guy has down. We know that.

Yawning while looking for something to play bite:

Found his toes to bite:

The classic play face/play bite:

Oh Burrito! You are too yummy for words! Adorable, yes! I believe when you look up “Adorable” in Webster’s Dictionary there is a photo of Burrito looking right back at you! Can’t tell you how long I studied his dear face, especially the top photo! Between the freckles, hairs, lines on his skin, and colors — I was mesmerized.

I take it this heat you are experiencing isn’t normal for this time of year? I remember visiting WA in early-mid September and the wether was so perfect with cool nights. What are your daily temps lately? Hope you have cooler days coming your way soon but it is nice to know everyone is doing their best to still have some fun while trying to keep cool.

Kathleen, my first response was no, it’s not normal. But honestly, every year of the last few has been entirely different. But yes, September is usually our guaranteed perfect weather month. We are still experiencing upper 90’s to 100-ish. Thankfully, the nights get quite cool. But we’re also experiencing very heavy smoke conditions the last few days so that adds to the heat. It looks like we drop temps this weekend so that’s exciting. 🙂

First picture is incredible. Like Kathleen, I too spent a lot of time looking over it, every inch of his face. The vein on the bridge of his nose, he hair in his nose. Amazing closeup.

I’m surprised that Mr. B doesn’t have a toy to sink his teeth into. I wonder: does Burrito’s impressive set of choppers make short use of his toys?
