the privilege of being a caregiver

June 3, 2017 by Diana

I first started working with chimpanzees in 1998, and I have been with the Cle Elum Seven for the entirety of their life at the sanctuary, even meeting them before they arrived on June 13, 2008.

And I still can’t believe that I have the privilege of caring for these amazing, playful, temperamental, intelligent, sensitive, wild, unpredictable, joyful, unique people.

Thank you for taking great care of the chimps.
They so deserve a life of freedom, love & total pampering.

I believe the world gives us all the beauty and love we give to it. You have given your love deeply and dearly and you will always be rewarded when you look at those seven beautiful souls. You are so fortunate to be able to share your life them.

Great pics BTW. I love Jamie’s hand. And is that your reflection in Jamie’s eye? Just perfect! ; )

You too are amazing, playful, intelligent, sensitive, joyful and unique! Don’t know about the temperamental, wild or unpredictable (smile). Only your husband can answer regarding those (smile again)

How amazing to witness the transformation from haunted and scared beings to a close knit, content and happy little family.
