Simple pleasures

May 19, 2017 by J.B.

The other night I watched Negra eat dandelions as the sun began to set over Young’s Hill. I wish it could be spring forever.

Hi J.B., Is that last picture taken from the property that the sanctuary already bought ? I noticed
today that the farm east of you is for sale .

Hi Kathy – Yes, it was taken from the hillside above Young’s Hill, which is part of the 42 acres we purchased last spring. It’s not actually the farm next door that is for sale – it’s a house on top of the mountain that has an access road through that farm.

I wish it could be spring forever too, for Negra’s sake. These photos are so very lovely, golden light. Negra looks so natural in her surroundings, as if she has always been there, comfortable and safe in her very own backyard.

The last picture — a piece of heaven created just for chimps.
