Foxie the Chimpanzee and Poppy the Troll

November 19, 2016 by Diana

Foxie’s love of troll dolls started over eight years ago when she arrived at Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest. She still loves the old school trolls, but now that there’s a new DreamWorks Animation film called Trolls, and you can bet that Foxie is going to benefit from the marketing.

Foxie likes the songs by Justin Timberlake that are in the trailers.

Her favorite doll so far seems to be Poppy, whose voice in the animated movie is Anna Kendrick. With this description of Poppy, they do sound like kindred spirits.

Since the moment the movie “Trolls” premiered I have been wondering when Foxie would begin to play with the new troll dolls. And I have been meaning to ask if Foxie and the other chimps have seen the movie (assuming you could display it digitally at the sanctuary). How cool are those creative people at DreamWorks to send Foxie a Poppy doll!? Oh Foxie, we all love you so.

Love this little video, especially the part where Foxie and Jamie are entranced with the trailer to the film! Pop some popcorn, it’s movie time!

Love it!!! Since Foxie probably doesn’t worry about picture quality, you could let her watch it online. I watched it on Watch Series website, movie section.
Here is a link,,,, I have no financial ties to this website. 🙂 Here is a link, if you like.
May have to cut and paste:

A big thank you to the people at DreamWorks for sending Foxie the new doll. Loved the video where Jamie and Foxie are watching the TROLLS video. I sent a large Troll doll in a flower dress addressed to Miss Foxie Chimpanzee many month ago and haven’t heard if it arrived. If someone stole the box along the way I bet they were in for abig surprise when they saw what was in it.

It is so wonderful that Foxie (and some of the others) finds comfort with these dolls. That video is touching.

They are lovely.. They need a big screen to watch selected film. Of course you wouldn’t want them to turn into couch potatoes.
