Rainy Day? Time to Play

October 20, 2016 by Elizabeth

It’s a gray, rainy day in Cle Elum but Foxie and Jamie are keeping themselves entertained inside. (Make sure your volume is up for some great breathy chimp laughter starting around 0:40.)

To the photographer (Elizabeth?) : How did you ever photograph that without totally cracking up?!?! Especially with Jamie’s somersault and Foxie’s wild wrestling move with the jump up on Jamie’s shoulders and back. I shrieked when I saw that! What fun!

Hope. Love. Home. Fun. Friends…… Sanctuary.

Ditto! And Jamie always lets Foxie get it in the end. What a softie.

What a great video. Do adult Chimps in the wild play around like our chimps do ?

Adult chimps do play in the wild, but much less often than juvenile chimps do. And when adult chimps do play, it’s usually with juveniles. It seems that the Cle Elum Seven are just making up for lost time. 🙂
