The Hoot! Gala this year was a huge success! The generous donations of many supporters this weekend has left the humans at the sanctuary buzzing with excitement for the future of the sanctuary! If you missed our newest announcements, check out the video below!
As I walked around Young’s Hill with Jamie this morning, I stopped and watched the chimpanzees play and forage together. Missy and Annie were two that caught my eye first. Two long time friends, enjoying each others company.
Annie and Missy have been best friends for years, but at some point there was an introduction and a beginning to their relationship. I cannot help but think about the other chimpanzees that may soon join the Cle Elum 7. We can only hope that they will form friendships like those that Missy and Annie have already established. Maybe even be a part of the Missy/Annie friendship?! When the newcomer chimpanzees get the chance to enter Young’s Hill for the first time, who will be their companion for their first outing? The possibilities are thrilling!
Congratulations on the wonderful news!! Can’t wait to meet the new chimps
So exciting to think you will be able to free more medical lab chimps and bring them to this paradise. I can’t wait to see the photos and videos of the new arrivals.
My guess if Foxy since she is friends with everyone, Burrito may want to but since you said they would be young they may stay away from Burrito.
It will be wonderful to see more of these very special beings joining the group and being able to live in peace and comfort.
I’m so excited for the sanctuary. Such wonderful news.
Lots of hard work and well deserved. The chimps will be so happy to
With additional space & new friends. ????????????????????????
Congratulations on a successful HOOT!
We all need a BFF like Missy and Annie and I get excited when I think about the chimpanzees out there waiting for their chance at Sanctuary and all it will bring into their lives.
Wonderful news about the beautiful extension for more rescued lab chimps. I’m sure there will be a lot of excitement for their new friends.???????? But I can just see Negra, sitting back, with her head in her hand, sizing up and observing each one, then joining into the welcoming party????????????
Exciting times ahead – can’t wait!
Congratulations on all of the exciting news. It is wonderful to know that more chimps in need will be spending their lives in such a beautiful place with such great people to look after them.
