When the cold November wind is blowing over the hills of Central Washington and the caregivers of Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest are hard at work scrubbing the front rooms, it’s up to the boss of the sanctuary to keep herself occupied.
This may come in the form of examining the photos in a magazine..
But it may also be a great time to build a fresh nest with that magazine, a sheet, a troll scarf, and a bunch of blankets.
She is so cute, what great pictures.
What a sweetheart!
I just love seeing what these chimps are up to everyday?!!
Thanks for sharing! SOOOO adorable……:)
One of the many things I have come to love about Jamie is how she can look so amazingly serious (like in photos 1 and 2) and then she gives that adorable (and smart) look that charms your socks off and melts you from the inside out (like photo 3!).
Looks like a lot of thought goes into building those nests:) Love the pictures. Thank you.
It warms my heart to see these pictures. I can’t imagine why companies and organizations would hammer down on the homes of the incredible creatures. I’ve been absorbed in chimps and orangutans since I was a little girl. They have always amazed me with their mental and physical abilities. No one can ever convenience me that “palm oil” can’t be planted and harvested elsewhere in this world! The displacement and horrific loss of life among these chimps and orangutans is not worth it! And not to mention the horrible death most meet with their babies holding on to their mama’s, or sitting in THEIR TREE home being shot to the ground!! I certainly hope the agreements I read are good for more than 5 more years? In the documents I read the agreements was 10 years to keep some land for the chimps and they are down to 5 years now. I’ll continue to raise awareness here in the Southern states, as best I can. And still dreaming of a day I can go and stay a few months to work in the nursery of an organization. That would be a dream come true!!
While I love to look at the chimps, I just am in awe of how many other people feel the same way I do about these beautiful creatures, and all God’s creatures. We think we are the only ones who have this deep-seeded love of creatures, only to find that others share the same internal yearning to help out in any way we can. I can’t get enough of watching these little goofballs.
I love that little shorty leg sticking up in the air. hahaha
