Negra hangin’ out at the cabin

March 14, 2013 by Debbie

If you saw the blog the a couple weeks ago, we got pretty excited because Negra finally went into her cabin! Yesterday Jackie captured a short video of Negra sitting in her cabin. After hanging out in there for a while, she walked around it, stopped to look at Jody through the clear lexan panel, and then sat down next to it with a really sweet and content face.

I hope this is a sign that Negra is becoming more comfortable with being outside. There is just nothing better than seeong Negra outside with the sun on her back.

That really is a sweet, contented look on her face! Looked like she slyly flipped you off for a minute there 🙂

I’m pretty sure I love her fat little belly even more than her face! That’s one happy belly!!

Will never tire of seeing her “belly shots”!! 🙂

What a sweet face and pose of Negra. I’ve said it before, but it is so good to see her coming out more and more. I also love that cute chubby little belly.

Negra is such a beautiful older//senior citizen, chimp lady,, I love, love love to see Negra feeling good, safe, and sure of herself.. the very fact, she chooses…
to go inside to the shelter and comfort, of her greenhouse,(when it rains)
foraging, and stock piling, along the way ,,
Appears to me..she assessed the situation, devised a plan,,and put her plan in to action…
What a clever girl,,, she embraced the rain, by CHOOSING to gather food for herself and go to her fave spot in the green house,,where she CAN dry off, because she has access to DRY blankets or towels, and,,she also knows.. she has access to lots of blankets,AND HUMAN HELPERS, WHO SERVE HER THY ROYAL HIGHNESS and she can NEST and EAT in PEACE and SAFETY and be COMFY such is life for NEGRA HRH,
Seeing these beautiful images and video of NEGRA,, exploring and getting around outside ,,to her cabin area..
its all so BEAUTIFUL.. She looks so LOVELY..

I cant imagine what any sanctuary chimp thinks of us .
they went from the very worst possible conditions, and indignities, done unto them.. to the very best of housing conditions and comforts
the very best, and most loving, humane treatments ever,,

It must of all been so very confusing and so difficult to trust

Perhaps, Negra,,still wonders at times ,that it might be taken away,
I too, would probably be hesitant, unsure, overwhelmed, etc,,
They were all subjected to so much trickery,

NOW.. for nearly 4yrs,,its a life of QUALITY,, COMFORT< KINDNESS< REAL FRIENDS
    GOOD HUMANS, Trustworthy-and CARING CAREGIVERS,
wow, every year, it just gets better and better and better.

NEGRA too, gets better and better and better ..
