Today’s photo shoot

August 26, 2012 by Jackie

Today I caught Burrito mid-hoot face (the facial expression that accompanies a pant hoot). I love their lips when chimps make this facial expression/vocalization.

When he spotted me taking photos, he seemed to get shy and quickly stopped.

But then as I started talking to him about how cute he was, he seemed pretty happy to show that off.

Meanwhile, the other chimps were pretty relaxed (and beautiful). Here’s Annie lounging around with a hair brush:

Has anyone asked to out on the Hill yet?

Only recently have people been asking to go out. Jamie, Annie, and Burrito (of all people!) are the only ones I know of that have asked, and not incessantly. They will point or play chase with us leading us to the door to the hill, but they usually drop it pretty quickly once we say we can’t let them out there just yet. It won’t be too long though, hopefully.

Jackie, thank you for these wonderful photos—-love them all but that first one of Burrito is special.

Great pics!!! Love the ones of Mr. B. They made me LOL. Isn’t it just like a man…….to pick his teeth when you’re trying to tell him how cute he is!!

    Love that chimp!! 🙂

So was Burrito just sitting by himself pant-hooting? It is such a cute photo!

Even after watching them all for the past four years I still have problems identifying who is who sometimes, except for Foxie, since she always has a troll doll!

    Lovely photos!

I believe he was responding to Jamie and the others inside. Lunch was being prepared so they were getting excited for that.

Lovely images of beautiful chimps. Little man Burritto is an absolute beauty. I can recognize Burritto anytime. His overall cuteness, charm and playfullness is a giveaway. Its about that little face of his, plus his eyes, and brow lnie appears a little more distinictive than the rest.Lovely pics of them all.Thankx Jackie. The chimps appear relaxed, content, and at ease,, I really beleive they felt totally safe, and not in danger of the fire because they TRUST you guys with their lives.

Everytime I think I have seen the best possible picture of Burrito, a new one tops the last one. That first one is really terrific. I feel like know him even though I only know him through photos. What a charmer.
