Corn on the cob lunch

July 7, 2012 by Jackie

Volunteer Connie brought corn on the cob for the chimps’ lunch today. Corn is one the chimp’s favorites so it was a great lunch for everyone.

Once Foxie was done with her corn, Burrito came over to help her out with it:

Yes, every face showed great pleasure! Have they ever gotten it cooked (cooled of course) ? I wondered if they would like it even better that way. Also, do they ever get to have popcorn?? I wondered if they liked corn in one form if they’d like it (and probably have fun with it!) in another.

They do like cooked corn on the cob, though I believe they like it raw better. We give them popcorn from time to time as well, which they like, though it’s not a favorite. It often is in the nightbag mix.
