Foxie and Annie in window, troll dolls on bench

Foxie’s expanding troll doll collection

April 14, 2012 by Diana

Foxie has received a lot of new troll dolls in the past few days. She’s also been even more playful than her baseline playfulness, which is off the charts. Coincidence?

She was sitting in the window ledge watching Connie and me set up the playroom after cleaning today, so I decided to set her troll dolls out so she could take a look before coming back in the room. Annie joined her for a moment and I saw Annie with one of the troll dolls in her nest tonight.

Please excuse all of the mooning in the photo below

Wow, such a pretty alignment of Foxie Trolls Dolls.. SO, Annie is also getting in on the Trool Doll action,, that is wonderful,, anytime, I see or read that the Chimps are ENJOYING a certain enrichment toy to such a degree, it warms my heart.. its a good thing,, for all of them to finaly be able to enjoy their very OWN of lifes pleasures, be it, its not natural, then again, considering the chaos, physical torment and pain, and hardships and deprivation these 7 endured, It amazes me how a simple Troll Doll has totally changed Foxies life, to read Annie also has one in her bed down area or nest is very touching and it brings tears to my eyes, Ive developed such a soft spot for all of them..

Diana, love the photo and to hear that Annie is interested is wonderful. Does Burrito have some special interest, besides food, that we could send to him?

Hi Marcia! Burrito likes small wooden or hard plastic blocks (he chews on them) and popper toys, like in this video: https://chimpsnw.org/2011/01/noisy-burrito/

I absolutely LOVE this photo! It’s so adorable to see Annie and Foxie sharing that moment together looking at the trolls like they’re watching tv. And all the while the trolls are doing a mass mooning exercise. Thanks so much for sharing this. What a great team of hairy and not so hairy primates you have at CSNW!

I was expecting chimp butts for a minute, and could feel the puzzled furrow of my brow beginning before I realized you were referring to the trolls mooning! How funny! Foxie has a whole family of babies to play with now, no wonder she’s having so much fun!
