Another day in paradise

April 23, 2012 by Elizabeth

Today is day 3 of unseasonably gorgeous weather (high 70s!) here in Cle Elum. The chimpanzees have been out on Young’s Hill for a couple of hours now and show no signs of tiring of it. (As I write this, Jody is lying on her belly in a patch of shade munching on some grass.) Here are some photos from this afternoon:

Foxie has collected several of these wine vines to bring into the greenhouse with her:

Annie brought in a blanket she found on the hill for her nest in the greenhouse:

Burrito has been watching the goings-on from his new favorite hangout by the treat rock:

They are so beautiful and human like. Makes me cry to know some will never feel grass on their feet:(. This site is excellent!!! Kisses to the happy apes:)

As biased as I am about loving pics of Mr. B, I have to give in and say that the pic of Annie and the blanket on her shoulder has gone straight to the top of the list!!! What a wonderful day with even MORE wonderful pics!! 🙂

    Love, love, love them chimps!!!

I am so NOT surprised that Mr. B.’s favorite site on the Hill is the treat rock.

I wonder if Foxie’s plan for the twigs are nest, tool, or little climbing structures for her babies.
