“Innocent” Jody

March 25, 2012 by Jackie

While Jody is very much a sweetheart when she wants to be, she does have her devilish side. She is often the first of the chimps to greet us humans in the morning- usually with a long kiss and a breathy pant. Her sweet almond-shaped eyes will make you melt.

but… she’s not always so innocent

Good thing troll dolls are loved with or without hair!

Great closeup photos of sweet, innocent?, beautiful Jody!! What does Foxie think of her “playing” with her troll dolls or is she ok sharing them?

Foxie is generally okay with sharing her troll dolls, though after a while, she sometimes will whimper and ask for them back.

Just love that Foxie is so protective of her troll dolls!

Does Foxie also “scalp” her trolls or is this usually done by the other chimps?

While training for a caregiver at CSNW I was very intimidated by Jamie as she is the Boss of the group. As my trainig continued I fast became aware that JoJo was the one to be weary of. As long as Jamie was served first or treated with the utmost respece she was fine but this just seemed to set Jojo into a state of “I will show you”. She would follow me around with a mouth full of water just waiting for the oppertune time to fire. This went on for months, I would come into the kitchen of the chimp house after serving a meal and be just drenched. As time wet on Jojo and I became friends and she now gives me a lot of slack while serving meals and will great me with a big kiss and a breathy greating as well as a butt bump. I love Jojo and she is a special being who is full of love and giving, who can’t fall in love with those eyes?

You’ve all made their lives worth living, now they are as FREE as they will ever be. They all look so VERY healthy and so well looked after, They know they are loved and that they have it made. Thank You,, Please keep the Jody stories coming. I love hearing about them all.

Denice that’s such a lovely Jody – or JoJo story! I used to teach children with learning difficulties and while some of them took a while to warm to you, once they did, it was even more rewarding. It must have meant so much to you to have gained Jody’s trust and affection and rightly so! Jody really does have the most beautiful eyes – that are also full of mischief!! x

I think another thing I love about the Cle Elum 7…the more stories I hear…is that they now are all so confident in themselves and their chimp family, that they can now be the boss of the humans sometimes and not the other way around as in their previous lives! They get what they want, when they want it and if not….watch out!! 🙂

    Hi Carrie,

For some reason WordPress won’t let me reply to your question above, but to answer your question- we aren’t sure. Personally, I’ve never seen Foxie scalp her trolls, though I have caught Jody, Jamie, and Missy in the act before. However, I wouldn’t be too surprised if Foxie did it from time to time as well.

You know, I’ve always wondered how those trolls come to be bald.

Then again, bright green or pink hair isn’t exactly a chimp’s natural shade, is it? (LOL) Thanks for shedding light on that mystery!
