Room to run

February 24, 2012 by J.B.

Watching Missy run uphill amazes me. I’m not sure how it looks on video, but the volunteers that helped build the enclosure can tell you that just walking up that hill will wear you out. It’s just another sign of the chimps’ inherent strength, and their desire to experience the simple joys in life.

What a beautiful sight to see her fly up and down the hill. Does Annie try to keep up with her, they usually have so much fun together. These are scenes of pure joy. Thanks for this happy video!

Yes, Annie tries to keep up, but no one can keep up with Missy.

Go, Missy, go! That is the best thing to see. I could just hear her thundering by….one of my favorite sounds. And now I have to go lie down after watching her!

It looked at one point like Annie cut her off to say “Wait a second. You WILL play with me some.”

Absolutely wonderful to see Missy runing free in the wind, in the outoors.
Obviously the cold does not bother them too much.

I’m amazed that JB could film all of that and not laugh at how joyously she runs. She runs because she can, and that gal doesn’t seem to want to stop! She must be the track and field star of the group.

That is one happy girl! Go for it, Missy!
