Jody and Foxie on the hill

November 25, 2011 by J.B.

Jody sampled the snow from many different areas of Young’s Hill today. Her favorite seemed to be the snow from the crater in our miniature Mt. St. Helens replica.

Foxie also went all the way outside today, but she tried to keep her feet off of the snow as much as possible.

Everyone else seemed content to grab some snow from the end of the raceway and watch Jody and Foxie brave the cold from the warmth of the greenhouse.

I know it’s a very, small consolation to these guys but they’ve at least got to experience something very fun to them that wild chimps never would and that is, Snow! They seem to enjoy it very much and I know there’s other things they love that they wouldn’t get in the wild…like brussel sprouts? Just sayin!
Oh and something else…the Best Caregivers, Ever! 🙂

Wonderful to see Jody out exploring after her hesitant start with the hill. She is really enjoying it and thanks for the photos, J.B. Love the photo of Annie–she looks very pleased and curious.

I am just overjoyed seeing all of this week’s pictures of our 7 enjoying the snow. I never expected them to venture out into it but here they are! This has been wonderful to see. Thank you so much for the photos, the updates, the Facebook updates, the calendar that I can’t wait to get : )
