First, Lynn brought in some more trolls for Foxie’s birthday and the Troll Olympics. I have become quite familiar with the facial features of troll dolls these past three years, and I noticed one troll in Lynn’s batch whose ears were slightly different than those I had seen before. I realized she reminded me of one of the chimps…
Take a look at the photos below and tell me you think.
Troll doll with chimp ears?:
Annie, also with chimp ears:
I believe there’s a definite resemblance. What do you think?
Enough about troll dolls for the moment, here are some great photos that J.B. took yesterday:
Burrito eating cattails from the pond on the property:
Missy being cool:
Negra being Neggie:

I sure love Neggie. There is just something about her that calms me.

Diana and JB, thank you for the photos and commentary. Chimp ears are special!
Candy (Tyler, Texas) says
The picture of Missy made me laugh out loud and did Burrito get covered in cattail dust, again?
Diana says
No cattail fuzz this time! The cattails are really fresh and we mostly gave them the young shoots & leaves rather than the cattails themselves. I think about that image of Burrito all the time 🙂

Great photos – My lhasa apso Will used to sit on the couch the way Missy is sitting. I used to say he was being cool like Dean Martin. Neggie is just beautiful & Burrito is his usual handsome self : )

Whenever I see a picture of Mr. B, the look on his face always makes me feel like he’s privy to some inside joke and we are all clueless.
Felicity says
Gosh, I needed a laugh right now, and this was the PERFECT blog entry for just that! Thank you for introducing us to Annie’s Long-Lost-Ear-Twin, Diana.
And Monica, I completely agree, Neggie always calms me (and brings a smile to my face!) too.
Margaret and Karen says
Absolutely that troll looks like Annie…..lucky thing. Put a little nick in the troll.s R ear and she would be a dead ringer! Love all of the photos.
Jeani Goodrich says
How wonderful to find a twin for Annie! Candy, you gave me a laugh. I’d forgotten Burrito covered in cattail hair! As always those pictures are worth waiting for. Thank you Diana.
Donna says
Thank you so much for posting these beautiful photographs! Very cute about Annie and the Troll, and very accurate! I love trolls, and love Annie!

The little ballerina with “chimp ears” is a Forest Troll — they came out at the end of the 1990’s troll craze, when the Norfins (the original Dam trolls) came back to our shores. Then Russ — the ones Foxie has most of — flooded the market, and that was sort of that!
I loved the pictures & Negra looking so sweet and pensive was just priceless — thank you for putting them up!
Diana says
Wow, Dawn – you know a lot about troll dolls! We’re always wondering if Foxie has some valuable tolls in her collection.
