I liked the video. I liked how gentle Foxy handled the new doll, and….she knew it was new. Happy Holiday to all our Chimp friends and care givers.

Such a sweet video. She’s so gentle and is very meticulous about “where” the new doll was laying while she was fluffing up the nest. An absolute joy to watch her!!

Happy Holidays to our chimps, amazing caregivers, volunteers and our awesome blog family!!

It is such a joy to see Foxie nesting! And how special that she got to have her troll on Christmas Eve. It is wonderful to watch her gentle ways. Merry Christmas to everyone and pant hoots to all!

that was so nice to see. It did make he heavy hearted to know what she missed by being in the labs all of those years and she would have been a great mom. But I just thank God that she has such a wonderful place to live now to be safe and happy. thank you and Merry Christmas to all of you that work with these beautiful animals and love them and do so much to take care of them. My love to all of you. God bless you all and be safe this Holiday season.

Do you think when she puts the doll behind her she wants it to climb on her back???

Sorry for the delayed response, Julie. We can’t be sure. She may just be nesting with the doll, but it is possible that putting the doll behind her is a ‘mothering’ gesture for the doll to climb on.
