New Chimps’ Choice Item!

June 16, 2010 by Jackie

We received such a wonderful response to last month’s Chimps’ Choice item, Protein Powder, which we add to the chimpanzees’ breakfast smoothie. Thank you so much to all who participated! This month, we’ve taken inventory and are in need of chewable vitamins and acidophilus, which are both available on our Amazon Wishlist. We appreciate all brands, however, we would like to request that they be vegan (no gelatin) and definitely chewable! As a thank you, we will send the first 10 people to donate between today and July 15th a ChimpSanctuaryNW.org bumper sticker. What a great way to support the sanctuary and get the word out! So, ready… set… go! 🙂

Who doesn’t need their daily multi-vitamin?

The acidophilus is good for the chimps (all primates) digestive systems, adds good bacteria to the system. As a caregiver (who cleans up after the chimps) I do appreciate a digestive system that is not upset, if you know what I mean. And the chimps feel better overall when their tummies are not up set and everything is working properly.

Yay! Being a personal fan of occasional acidophilus use, I had to send some the chimps’ way 🙂 Acidophilus is also good (for humans at least) when you get a little canker sore in your mouth. Just a little tip from an old boss who was an MD. The powder directly on the spot heals it up in no time.

As a Level II Volunteer-in-Training… I am taking Denice’s advice… and ordering a bottle of acidophilus to be sent to CSNW today!
