Summer has been slow to come to Cle Elum, but today was beautiful, so we set up a breakfast forage first thing. Included were frozen strawberries, grapes, chow biscuits, nuts, smoothie in cups and fresh blades of grass. Everyone went for their favorites among the choices – Foxie for the grapes, Burrito for the chow biscuits, Jamie and Jody for the strawberries, Missy for smoothie, Annie for grass, and Negra for the nuts (while picking up grass for later).

Love the happy grunts!! It’s goes without saying that the CE caregivers are awesome. You never fail to make sure that each one of them has a little bit of the foods/treats they each love the best. You are all angels!!

I’d be glad to send Cle Elum some of our Texas summer. Love Jamie’s troll necklace, I wish Foxie would wear a troll necklace, maybe someday.

What a great morning chimp fix ! Love the troll necklace Jamie is wearing. So cute how three in a row swung over to the platform.

Good to see Mr. B first out of the gate and Jamie last out hmmm.
Candy the troll necklace has been passed around from Jamie to Foxie since Wednesday of this week. It really needs to be unclaimed for a day for washing, when they are ready to let it go they will.
P.S. I think I can speak for all, we would be thrilled to take some of that Texas summer up here in the Northwest as we have yet to have but a couple of days of “spring”. Raining again today…………. raining hard today……….

Re: the troll necklace – Jamie and Foxie passed it back and forth several times yesterday (though Foxie carries it rather than wears it). When I was letting the chimps back into the playroom after we cleaned, Foxie did not come out right away because she was working to release a troll doll on the “necklace” that Jamie had woven through the caging as part of her nest. We had spread out a small forage in the playroom of frozen grapes and seeds, and Foxie could hear the chimpanzees in the playroom food grunting, but she was more concerned about getting that string of trolls. I helped her free the troll and Foxie happily took the string with her into the playroom.

Thanks for that story about the troll necklace, Diana! I could see the whole thing playing out in my head. Looking forward to next Sunday!
