Tickets are flowing for March 6th Sippin’ for the Seven wine (and beer) tasting fundraiser in Roslyn. Buy tickets online today or purchase them in person with cash or check at smith exhibits in Roslyn. Tickets are just $35 and include a Jody logo wine glass, wine and beer tastings, nibbles, music by Lenny Price and Millie Radonovich and the chance to meet sanctuary staff and volunteers.
This event was great last year, and will be even greater this year! New this year – a raffle available at the event with an exclusive visit to the sanctuary as the grand prize. All profits made from ticket sales and the sale of wine and beer to take home will directly benefit the Cle Elum Seven chimpanzees. For more info, see our event page. My mom and I have our tickets and we can’t wait for March 6th! I just finished reading through two years worth of CSNW blogs and videos, what an amazing group of chimps, but also, what an amazing group of people that have rallied around the CE7. I hope all of you fab bloggers are coming to this event, as I look forward to meeting the faces behind all those insightful, heartfelt and funny comments! (Not sure if anyone else is travelling from Seattle, but we didn’t want to deal with the late-night drive home, so we’re staying at Huckleberry House down the street from the event and they still had some rooms available.)

Can’t wait to meet you, Felicity!! The volunteers who work in the chimp house will be wearing banana pins at the event, so be sure to ask them bunches of questions 🙂

Felicity, I’ll be there and look forward to talking with you. I volunteer and live in Kirkland. My cats will want me home that night but good idea about staying over.

Got tickets for my friend and me last weekend! Just found out that she grew up in Roslyn so we have a place to stay afterwards. I’m hoping that my daughter, Sarah, can “work” the event by finding a ride to/from Ellensburg that evening. Can’t wait!!

I just read an incredible story about the backlash against Yellow Tail Wines for making a $100,000 donation to HSUS. Wow. Fortunately, they are undaunted about donating to animal causes and issued this statement:
“Yellow Tail is committed to the plight of animals in need and as a result, we can confirm that through any future activity, we will be looking to other non-profit organisations without lobbying interests that best deliver on our intended outcome of saving animals,” the statement said.

This sounds like a great opportunity to tell Yellow Tail Wines about Sippin’ for the Seven, and ask if they wouldn’t consider donating to Chimp Sanctuary NW in the future.
