The weather in Cle Elum has been pretty wet and gloomy for the last couple of days, so the chimps have chosen to spend more time than usual inside. Annie and Missy are in good spirits, though, and are making the best of the situation.

Why, just yesterday, the rain made me want to eat socks, too!
P.S., I love seeing the chimps dress up. Do they do that on their own? Do you just put clothes in their areas and they do whatever they want with the things? It floored me to see (don’t remember the chimp) wearing necklaces with the grace of a Hollywood diva.

Those chimps have more energy than I do. When it is rainy and gloomy I want to get in my “nest”….LOL

Hey! I have a pair of socks exactly like that! Let me check…….hmmm one of them seems to be missing.
Can’t think of a better place for that sock to be than with Annie & Missy!!

hcm, since I volunteer in the kitchen from time to time I know that no one MAKES the chimpanzees do ANYTHING they don’t want to do. The caregivers put out various kinds of enrichment for the chimpanzees every day (including various items of clothing) and they do with it what they want.
Dear Annie and Missy….their relationship always warms my heart.

Oh, that was clearly an invitation, waving that socked foot around. I know what she was saying: “oh, look at my lovely red sock, I bet no one can take this lovely red sock from my foot, oh, this lovely red sock is so pretty… come over here and just *look* at my lovely red sock. 🙂
