Annie’s first birthday

September 8, 2009 by J.B.

This Thursday is Annie’s birthday! We don’t know the actual day of Annie’s birth, so we picked a date for her. And because we hadn’t picked one by this time last year, this will be her first birthday at the sanctuary.

So even though she’s turning 35, you can wish Annie a Happy First Birthday!

Here are a couple of photos of the soon-to-be birthday girl, taken this afternoon.

I just love Annie’s face, it’s so beautiful and I love the way she sits and how she places her arms. I was thinking though that after a year and a half I feel I don’t know her as well as the others. Maybe it’s because the others have particularities that I can associate with each individual, maybe Annie’s the observer of the group. She reminds me of a calm sea.

Sometimes I say “Poor Annie” as she is the most submissive of the CE7 and it’s hard job to “stay out of the way” and “not be in the way”. She is always looking over her shoulder or glancing this way and that to make sure she is not in anyone’s way. She is very good at her job of being the most submissive.

I think her face is one of the most placid (besides Negra) of the group, she is just a beauty. You just want to give her a hug………….

    Happy Birthday Annie, OXOXOXOXOXOX

Happy Birthday, Annie. We have just come home from the store where we purchased all of your favorite green vegetables for your birthday meal tomorrow. Can’t wait to bring it to you.

I agree with you Denice you said it perfectly when “she’s good at being the most submissive.” There has been a couple of times on video that a loud noise occurs in the background and she’s startled and jerks her head around to find out the source of the noise.

    Happy Birthday Annie!!!!!
