Hands and Feet, Negra nesting

July 21, 2009 by J.B.

I envy chimps for their ability to clasp their feet together when they are resting.

Negra built a beautiful nest this morning from a brand new bale of straw. After settling in, she looked pretty content.

She must be thinking “home sweet home” in that comfy nest of hers.

I know what you mean about the feet, J.B. I also envy their very flexible hip joints.

When I go to bed I have to get my feet in the right position and I clasp my hands together when I go to sleep. It’s nice to know I’m in such good company.

Great photos, J.B. A chimps hands and feet have always fascinated me. They look so much like ours but they are so much more dextrous than we are. It would be nice if we could reach our feet as easily as they do. Negra’s nest looks comfy enough that I would like to nap in it.
