It’s so good to see him outside and playing in the sun. He’s been a little hesitant to be outside since the girls had the “disagreement” with him a while back.

He is a handsome young man…………..

Burrito, You Da Man!!! I love his beautiful filled out coat. What a handsome little devil you are. And the girls love it! (Mostly) Thanks for the great photos JB.

I agree with you Denice he is a very handsome man. I particularly like his eyes.

Handsome is definitely the operative word here- wow! That first shot in particular clearly says ‘healthy male.’ And it’s such a beautifully clear shot of how his appendages connect with the ground when he walks, and just how ‘opposable’ his opposable toe is.

Y’all are to be commended for the obvious state of health Burrito is in! That coat is gorgeous. 🙂

    Gorgeous.

Burrito is the easiest chimp for me to recognize. I find his build distinctive.

He looks so great and that sweet, innocent look in his eyes in the second picutre belies what sometimes lurks underneath!!!

yeah Cindy, sometimes looks are deceiving!

what happened to his right ear? (maybe my eyes are deceiving me?)
looks like the top part is missing .. an old injury perhaps?

after writing the above comment, I had a feeling this was mentioned before and managed to find it today..

an excerpt of J.B.’s reply to an inquiry from Amy M. re: missing fingers, toes and parts of their ears:

“Amy – When the chimps arrived in Cle Elum, Burrito was missing half an ear and a finger tip, Negra was missing half an ear, Jody was missing three toes (which were severed when a guillatine door in the lab slammed on her foot), Annie had a tear in her ear, and Missy is was missing a finger tip.”

Thanks for the fact finding Dee. It is good to go back every so often but most of us always figure we will do that tomorrow! It was nice to see the statistics.

thanks Jeani .. yeah, sometimes I wonder if I’ve missed something and sometimes don’t always have the time to take a look back..
the above was easier to find since it wasn’t so long ago.. trying not to bug the busy caregivers to repeat answers!

all those injuries must’ve hurt..ouch..sorry Gang that those injuries happened.
