Once in a while we put juice, tea, and other drinks into buckets and pans outside the chimps’ enclosure. Then we give them long tubes to use as straws. It’s fun and gives them a project to work on for a little while. Here are some pics!

Hey maybe we can consider this their New Year’s champagne….a little after midnight, but still on New Year’s Day! What a great idea! I’m sure it’s fun for them to be able to decide which drink they want to drink from, and then they have to get their “straw” in the right bucket! Cheers to the Cle Elum 7, and Happy New Year to everyone!! 🙂
