Last week Jamie took a small piece of cloth mesh (it may have been part of a troll costume), and tied it around her toe, then her finger. Jamie really likes shoes and feet, so I often show her my own toes. I have a toe ring, so maybe she was emulating that, or maybe she had something remember 🙂
Today she spent much of the day wearing her new red tutu, courtesy of her friend Tamela.
Oh Tamela you have out done yourself! Doesn’t Jamie look a kick. It is so great to see her enjoying herself. And the toe ring! Jamie’s hair is looking so thick and rich and shiny now days doesn’t it?
Tamela what a perfect gift, she looks beautiful in it. I hope she looked at herself in the mirror. I agree with Margaret and Karen in the last picture, her hair is looking exceptionally full and shiny. Lots of love Jamie.
I almost didn’t send the red tutu. I was afraid it would be too small. It was a one size fits all, but you know how that goes. Jamie made it work. She is so precious. Thanks for sharing this Diana; it meant a lot to me.

Seeing the close-ups of her feet and hands, it made me wonder….do you have to cut their fingernails or do they just wear down?
I told you it would fit Tamela~~Diana isn’t it true they are alot smaller then what we think??? What would you say their measurments are….approxiamate??? Waist , I was also looking at tutus and it would be nice to know what size you think they wear for clothing, also I saw a snuggler on tv that I thought Negra would love, it fits over your head and is a full body blanket, I wonder if Negra would figure it out…what do you think Diana?
I just love the picture of Jamie touching your toes. Even though it’s such a close up it can’t let us see any other body language or your faces, it somehow still conveys both a sense of curiosity and a sense of intimacy.
I know you have to be cautious about physical contact with the chimps, but still – it must be something special to have a chimp exploring your toes. 🙂
The thing that strikes me is that the chimps coats are thick, healthy and shiny! That last photo really brings it out.

It’s difficult to estimate their measurements. More often than not, people think the chimps are smaller than they really are. We have a pretty small group overall. I’d say that Jamie has a 25-30in waist? The elastic on the tutu was good 🙂

I think she just might be emulating you Diana re: the toe ring, what an inquisitive smartie she is, I’m beyond happy for her now that she gets to do things and choose and explore anything she wants to!

Miss Jamie’s hair looks healthier than mine and I use a fortune in hair products! Great choice Tamela! The red tutu looks great with her shiny, black hair. I agree with Dee, Diana. She likes your toe ring and wants one of her own. We all know how Jamie loves to accessorize! I love the photo of her exploring your toes. What an incredible interaction that must have been!

Oh Tamela…I’m so glad you sent this tutu….red looks so great on her and against her beautiful healthy hair…..what a beautiful “woman” that Jamie is……I CAN’T imagine her not wearing something, whether it’s a mesh finger/toe ring or a tutu….Jamie thank you for showing us the clothes and you are Americas next top model….keep up the great work
