Outside in December?

December 3, 2008 by Keith LaChappelle

We have been enjoying unseasonable warm weather this year which means the chimpanzees still get to enjoy their outdoor play area and the sunshine!  Last year at this time we had several inches of snow on the ground…maybe global warming isn’t all bad!

It is very good to see you here Keith….what a great surprise! It is still nice weather in Northern California too! If it is over 70 I have the AC on and under 70 I have the heat on! It looks like you have quite the adoring audience there…..they all love you and I bet you can see and feel how their souls have settled since they have been in Cle Elum! Come back soon Keith!

Are there any plans to have a larger outdoor play area?

The chimp’s outside and Keith in shorts in December in Cle Elum, WA?! That’s fabulous!!! Truly, what a blessing ~ especially for their very first winter at home. Thank you Mother Nature! 😉

It’s great they are still able to enjoy the outside enclosure in December. Snow will come soon enough. Then it will get really interesting. Keep the video camera ready so we can see the first snow reactions from the chimps. Good to see you with the chimps Keith!

What Lucky little guys, if there is room can I move in? In Carmel it is chilly-willy!!!!!! Will there be a birthday party for Burrito? it’s on Jan. 6th, I think. Could you let us know the birth date of all the chimps? Yes, winter will come hope later than sooner. My MS is acting up that usually means inclament weather. Jamie might be trading her tutu for a snow suit. Sweet pictures!!!!!!
