More photos of big day

December 26, 2008 by Diana

This new orange toothbrush and the blocks were some of Burrito’s favorite gifts. He still had the toothbrush this morning.

You all know that chimpanzees are destructive. This is the fate of most non-troll dolls and stuffed animals in Foxie’s hands… she does enjoy the destruction process!

These wreaths, which had nuts and cranberries attached, were a big hit with Jody and everyone else.

Chimp lips are pretty expressive, and Negra has some big lips to be expressive with. This photo just caught her with an “in-between” facial expressions face.

Diana, how do you manage to catch so many great pictures of their facial expressions? I just love the way they look when caught in certain poses. Not only their faces but their eyes. They sparkle with such intelligence and many times amusement. I adore seeing pictures of them no matter what expression they wear.

Yes, I concur, Diana you take the most wonderful pictures of them
what sort of dvds do you want to show them? I got them a Jane Goodhall one but I was going to swing by a store here calle Amoeba that sells used DVD’s. The obvious is wildlife, but are you thinking kids cartoons as well? Let us know as we don’t want you to run out of dvd’s!! xoxxoxo

I laughed out loud when I saw the photo of Foxie with the beheaded doll – and her hand over here mouth ~ like “oh my gosh, it’s head came off!” (I’m sure that’s not really what Foxie was thinking but the photo is so funny!).

Jeani ~ they loved your wreaths 🙂

The photos really are fantastic ~ thank you so much!!

    Love and hugs to all,
    Shelly

I volunteered this am and I have to say if an indication of a good party is the aftermath or mess the CE7 had a very, very good party yesterday.

When Diana open the gate and I stepped into the day room I just stood there a moment thinking “oh my, where do I start”. You can see it in the background of the pictures posted.

P.S. It was wonderful to know they had a “grand” time of it.

I love all the party pictures. Clearly, they had lots of enrichment. Shelly, I thought the exact same thing about the picture of Foxie with the doll head. She looks like, she’s thinking “oops, I didn’t mean to do that.” : )

Thank you for the wonderful photos! That was one of my best presents, to look at the fun expressions and all the mess!
Shelly, I had to go back to look at Foxie’s expression and You sure nailed it!
I’m so glad they all loved the gifts and had as much fun with them as we did getting them.
Diana, you have a wonderful way when it comes to photographs. Thank you.

Denice – ROTFL!!! Looks to me like you need to start with a snow shovel and a couple of large garbage cans! 🙂

We’ll try out all sorts of videos. I think the nature ones will be of greatest interest, but who knows!

The photos are due to a great camera and some very photogenic chimpanzees.

Thank you Margaret and Karen. I had so much fun making them. And now that I know they like them….
I have enjoyed the blog while I am in Texas. It helps keep me connected. I hope everyone is enjoying their holidays.

Diana……you are WAY to modest. Yes, the photogenic chimpanzees and the good camera help but you and J.B. are very very good behind that lens too! 🙂
