Thanks to everyone who came out to the Nonprofit Comedy Night that helped raise money for the Cle Elum Seven, and thank you to the comedians who donated their time to entertain us. I had a great time! Based on the laughter, I would hazard to say that everyone had a great time. It was nice to see people who had only “spoken” through the blog and the forum meet each other in person. And it was so nice for me to meet some new supporters. The raffle was a lot of fun and the slideshow was cool to see on the big screen. Thanks goes to Margaret for getting prints of Jamie’s artwork as well as cards she made together for us to sell that night – both were a hit! We’ll have to do it again!
It was a lot of fun and funny. It was great to put faces to names and see all of Margaret and Karen’s beautiful hard work. Hope everyone else had fun and it was profitable as well!
We had so much fun!!! What a great idea for a fundraiser! The comedians were great….there were a lot of people there….it was a great evening!! I loved the slide show with all of the beautiful pictures of the chimps, and everyone was hoping to win one of the wonderful raffle prizes!! I hope there were lots of donations for the CE7!! 🙂
Yes, it was a wonderful night! Karen and I both enjoyed it a lot. Niether of us had ever been to a Comedy Club before and we both laiughed our heads off! There were really good comedians there. I even won a photo of Foxie in the raffle! The part I loved most was meeting other CCCs that I have only met online before, Pam was there and also Cindy and Jeanie. It was so great to be able to talk in person. I would love to have a Seattle based enrighment party soon. Someone mentioned it on the blog recently. Count us in. Our dear chimpanzees have the ability to bring people together. How great.
Finally, after many months of reading this blog and driving my husband crazy talking about all the things the chimps are doing I am going to post for the first time. Thanks to Margaret and Karen, who I met at the comedy night, for telling me I simply must post! 🙂
The comedy was great! The second one I’ve been to for the chimps and I won a great picture of Negra in the raffle. I will try to post more (more than never shouldn’t be too hard, right?) and hopefully be involved in some of the activities you all are planning. This is truly an amazing group!
