Old ladies playing

July 3, 2008 by Diana

J.B. was just taking some video of Annie and Missy playing, and a surprise third person joined the play session. We had to post it right away. It’s our longest video post yet, but I’ve already watched it three times. That play face made my day. I guess that’s why we call the big room the playroom.   Diana

Is that Negra? How cute is that?! They are all clearly feeling happy and relaxed in their new home. And I love seeing them in a messy playroom full of toys and playthings. Exactly how it should be if they can’t be in their natural environment.

Annie and MIssy, what fun you are having. And then when your friend joined in (was that Jamie?) was that “patty-cake patty-cake baker’s man” that you were playing? Then, on my, you played “follow the leader”! Go for it, my friends!

It was Negra that joined in Annie and Missy’s play session. Negra still spends most of her time sleeping (at 35 she is up there in age for a chimpanzee), so it is great to see her decide to play and act young.
