Usually we fill up the pool you see here with water. Today, we left it empty and put lots of enrichment inside instead. Jamie got right in the pool and used it as her workspace. Note the tie!

Smart girl!! She knows how to use her work space efficiently AND dress for success! 🙂
I love the leaves on the wall behind her. Are they painted on? They’re beautiful!!

The leaves are part of a mural that Seattle artist Jeffrey Rowe created. A few students from Thorp High School came out and helped to paint the mural.
I love it too!
The beautiful orange rolling hills and animal silhouette that you see in the photos of the chimpanzees looking out of room four in the front rooms was designed by Julie Nealey of Edmonds (her business is called Posh Palette).
And there is a really great mural across from the front rooms in the human area that was designed and painted by Kim McAndrews of Peach Designs.
And finally there is a graffiti mural that Keith’s son painted in Room one – we have some photos of Negra nesting up there – she looks very tough with the graffiti background 🙂
The murals make the building really inviting and fun. I’m so grateful to all of the artists who gave their time!

Oh my Jamie girl looks so great. Yesterday when I got home from work my envelop from CSNW was waiting for me. I love the pictures you sent of Jamie, she is so sweet. I put it in a frame and it is now sitting on my desk here at work so she can inspire me through the day.
Do you know the birth date of Jamie, I would love to send her a gift on that special day.
