Patience & Persistence

July 23, 2026 by Sabrina 4 Comments

If there’s one thing you should know about Rayne, it’s that she is patient and persistent; she doesn’t give up easily. Recently, the chimps all got coconuts for lunch, and once Rayne finished her own, she set her sights on Cy’s.

Wow! Being the boss’s sister oays off, I guess.

I’m reminded of the “sharing” video, where Jody reaches for a piece of Foxie’s, and Fox not only gives her half, but the biggest half. Jody takes it with a sheepish look, as though it pained her to accept it, then food grunts into the coconut shell, so the barks echo throughout the greenhouse.:smile:

I lnow what’s on the menu for her next birthday… hear me out…. virgin piña coladas and coconut cornbread!

I remember that video from Sept. 2022. Alas, I recall the “Pumpkin Politics” video of 11.5.2018 when Foxie just couldn’t enough of Jody’s pumpkin. So, perhaps the latter coconut acquisition was to balance out the previous inbalance in pumpkinphagia.

    Rayne Marie Chimpanzee?! Tsk-tsk!, I say, tsk-tsk!

Why does this episode bring to mind a certain (unnamed, of course) political celebrity’s stated resolve to acquire large North American landmasses to add to his realm irrespective of the natives’ consent and acquiescence? I am inclined to suspect that Raynie has been keeping a beat on current events in her magazine reading and has thus been motivated to engage in some “Coconut Diplomacy”.
