Willy B is always coming up with new ways to entertain himself. Whether it’s a slinky, a table to rattle, a tub to drag and shake, or bouncy balls to throw, Willy B will find a way to amuse himself! Willy B’s latest obsession is the bouncy balls. They are pure chaos, they bouncy erratically and can make a lot of noise if thrown correctly. As you will see in the video, the other day we observed Willy B putting the ball in a box and then biting that box, shaking it around so the ball is bouncing all around like a pinball around his head! Willy B lives in a certain level of chaos, so of course, that is how he would play!

If you want a more quiet enrichment activity, why not hang up the large mirror? He enjoys looking at his reflection and checking his teeth.
The ball? Definitely more fun in the box!
Willy B is a creative thinker. If he were a human, he’d be an artist or a musician or the inventor of something incredible—just like what he does now. I simply adore him. My apologies to all the caregivers but, I’m so happy he discovered those ridiculous, noisy bouncy balls!

I know some rather easier ways to acconplish that!
I googled “what is that toy that you hold in your hand and try to direct a tethered ball into a small cup?” and got this response: “You are likely thinking of a classic, CENTURIES-OLD (emphasis added!) toy known as a Cup-and-ball, often referred to as a bilboquet, or a ball-in-a-cup game.”…I think Willy B has come up with the basics of this toy!He’s using the box (as the “cup”) to both toss and catch the ball. Maybe we humans learned it from our chimp ancestors. The Walmart version (many were displayed with the google response) is probably too fragile for his use, but it sure looks like he is on to something fun with his creative “ball and box” approach! 🙂
Willy B is just so hysterical. That mind if his is always working to think of new ways to have fun. I am so happy he is able to entertain himself and us!!!
