Wacky Winter

March 14, 2026 by Dusty Cavaliere

It’s been a wacky winter in the Pacific Northwest! Sunshine in February, snow in March. Let’s take a walk together around Young’s Hill and see what the weather will do.

    Hi Dusty!
I know you’ll need the water when August comes, so sorry it’s there, but I know it’ll be good.

Heads up! The links in today’s email take us straight to YT and the video, not the blog. If you dont get lots of comments, that’s why. I got here from the main menu.
    Have a good one!

      Me, too…

It almost looks like Missy, on Feb’s uphill walk, was trying to copy Jamie’s straight-backed Boss posture.

At 3:35 in the video (in Feb) whoever is walking in looks like s/he is limping. Or is that from the pitch of the hill?

I think that’s Bubba, with his arthritis. You can see it a bit at the beginning. IIRC, he’s got it in the knee, which would make a downhill harder than an uphill. (Foxie’s got it in the hip(s)).

The weather seems wacky everywhere. Crazy. It appears as if you had a lonely stroll around the hill today! I hope when you were done, Jamie and Burrito shared some of their flavored snow snack with you. I enjoy seeing the gang bellied-up to their snow table.

One thing I know with certainty, no matter the weather, the residents at CSNW always receive the best of care. I mean they literally receive the Red Carpet treatment!

Given the previous dearth of snow snacks, and the landscape’s needed moisture, I am grateful for the snow at the Sanctuary. A much needed blizzard is gracing Minneapolis today.

My friend said her cat was frightened by the plows! Sorry you’re hit again
