Pasta Party Part II

January 7, 2026 by Kelsi

Yesterday, our fun-loving friend, Burrito turned 43 and I still can’t quite believe it! Burrito is someone you want to get to know and have in your life, which is why his zest for life is so infectious. It explains why everyone on the other side of the building was having so much fun celebrating his birthday, even though they may not live together! Please enjoy the unseen footage of the other groups celebrating Burrito’s birthday!

For some, unknown, reason, I love seeing the chimps eat pasta! Maybe, because there are close-ups, or, because it is, so, stringy.
    Makes me hungry for spaghetti!

I can only imagine how yummy it would taste to them and fun for us, if it had some tomato sauce on it! 🙂 Bet it would be messy, though.
Surprised to see Honey B toss one boat aside for the next, doesn’t she usually wind up with 3 or 4 boats of sghetti?
    Dora lokks funny, wadging it.
Pasta day is fun for all, including us–thanks for including us (and for yesterday’s extra serving to the fabulous Ms Fox , aka Tiny).

I love watching them eat but I would prefer hearing them slurp and chew than the loud music.
    Thanks for the great video

Burrito’s big birthday bash was certainly a hit. What a joy to see everyone diving into their pasta plates! You know you’ve had a great celebration if you go to bed with pasta in your hair! And I love Lucky’s style of slurping up the pasta in one big waterfall. Little Dora‘s face! Eeesh!! So cute.

Happy birthday to our beloved Burrito. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I celebrate Burrito every day.

It’s alway fun to watch them eat spaghetti. I can’t really tell if Honey B enjoyed it as much as usual, at least she didn’t seem to make as much of a mess..no sauce.

I always gleefully anticipate watching the chimps devouring spagetti! its so sayisfying! it looks like Doras jaw is swollen- is that true? or was she somehow storing spagetti in there?

That is amazing that they can do that! Ive seen videos of certain types of monkeys – rhesus macaques?- storing huge amounts of food in their throatsacks but this is the first time Ive seen a chimp person being able to store food! pretty cool! its adorable! She wanted to make sure she could grab as much as possible in the moment- spagetti is a primo food! ?

If you watch videos with leeks, the top of the pineapple, cattails (and we’ve seen them, Dora in particular, do it with chow biscuits), they wadge the fibrous foods to suck out the nutrients, then dpit out the inedible parts (with chow and spaghetti, they’d swallow it all).
