The Musician Next Door

January 3, 2026 by Dusty Cavaliere

Have you ever lived next door to a musician?

Depending on your point-of-view (just ask Willy B’s neighbors) it can either be a blessing or a curse.

For your listening pleasure, in today’s video, Willy B will share some of his greatest hits.

As a music educator and professional musician, I appreciate his creativity, extensive rehearsing and
an exciting performance! Practice makes perfect-keep up the good work!:notes::notes::musical_note:

Willy B, take a bow! Excellent performance! Love the harpsichord-so fluid.

And he played with right AND left hand!
      Very accomplished.

And during the squeaky clarinet he manages to make the sound right next to the resting Mave ( I think? ).
Obviously used to the noise level and knows there is no stopping it until Willy B wants to stop!!!

    interesting and creative!
I have a question concerning Mave that has been on my mind for a while. I remember when Mave and Dora were inseparable. Are they ever able to see each other now? And have you noticed any change in behavior in either one of them now that they are not living together. Thank you.

Dora gets to go in and out of this group as a visitor. The thing is, she’s just as much a friend of Honey B as she is of Mave. So I don’t know how that dynamic works, because my sense is that Honey B is more into rambunctious play and Mave is more chill.

Honey B and Dora used to be co-conspirators (Hose Heist). Since they can only visit each other now and then I guess there hasn’t been much plotting.

I couldn’t take that racket for long but he sure looks cute doing it.

Hilarious. How can one small cardboard box make so much noise, eh, music? What a rock star.

crBravo, maestro! It’s been a while since I’ve given the lilting sounds of Lou Reed’s experimental masterpiece.”Metal Machine Music” a listen. Thus, I appreciate the similarities between M3 and Willy B’s post-postmodern opus of sound. I’d rather listen to Willy’d musique concrete than the recent annual assault of Santa Claus muzak.

Dusty, that was hysterical. Too funny! I was thinking that the second time Willy B was working a Cajun washboard (with his dog bone instead of spoons) instead of the harpsichord. What do you think?! Do you ever play music videos for him? What a character. I just love Willy B. Thanks for the laugh.

What a performance! He’s got a good sense of rhythm, too. Just don’t get him his own drum set. I don’t think the neighbors would be too happy about that!
