Downtime with George

October 29, 2025 by Sabrina

Lately, George has barely had a break. With introductions happening multiple times a week, finding a quiet moment to himself hasn’t been easy. But recently, he managed to set aside a little time to just sit and enjoy a pomegranate. It was a small, straightforward pleasure — his moment of zen this week

Thank you for recognizing that even the most studious student, which George is, needs a break from trying so hard in every introduction that he has had. He truly is an achiever. it was wonderful to hear his food grunts while enjoying so carefully that pomegranate. I don’t even attempt them because they can be messy. George, we all hope you continue to thrive in the life you have been given by the wonderful staff at CSNW..

George is such an admirable survivor! And he eats with such care and so neatly. I am very happy George found his place with all of you. This makes my heart happy. ?

I second what the others have said. “He’s all that,” as the saying goes these days.
So cute, if “cute” is an appropriate word for a majestic chimpanzee.

Im so glad you recognize that, as social as he is, he’s been on his own for a ling time and might get overwhelmed easily.

It is so wonderful to see him have access to a variety of healthy and interesting foods. His body condition has greatly improved compared to when he first came to CSNW. His coat is thick and shiney, and there is a calm about him. Thank you CSNW for all that you have done, as this precious boy deserves the best and you have given it to him.
