Today was a busy day in the chimp house followed by our biweekly staff meetings so I was short on time but I did put together a ‘zen moment’ video of Jamie’s group enjoying baked sweet potato for dinner the other day, enjoy!

So good to see (and hear) Annie enjoy something! I’ve barely eaten today. Hottest day in 14 yearshere on the coast, heat index made it feel like 91. And of course, there’s coastal humidity….
I postponed mowing the lawn as long as I could, which meant watching your video the moment it dropped! It was worth dealing with twilight gnats. And As I write, the Navy base has played its tune, the day is done. In for a tick check, cold shower, and something to eat. Hope you all enjoy the rest of it!

I noticed how very sweet Negra looked this evening.
I was thinking of her as I mowed my grass tonight, including mowing down the prickly lettuce. I thought, “if I could just have them come over for one day, I’d make Neggie the happiest chip on earth, and I wouldn’t have any more prickly lettuce or dandelions!”
Sweet potatoes and avocado! Delish! Burrito gets two potatoes, now I know why he’s so sweet. Happy to see Jamie, I’ve missed seeing her. But I know she likes her privacy and we must respect the wishes of the Boss.

Pretty Annie just couldn’t help let out some seriously sweet food grunts, Jody-style! I could just watch her eat forever. Bubbie’s camera pokes are also just so cute! He’s such a silly guy. Jamie seemed to be in a good mood, at least she didn’t mind you filming a bit!
