Paper Party!

September 28, 2024 by Sabrina

Lately we’ve been getting large bags of paper donated to us by one of our local stores, Jerrol’s, who we get supplies from and have a wish list through. So yesterday we had a paper party for Cy’s group of 9 and put some of their lunch forage in the paper for them to search for and they had a blast, especially Lucky!

Bonus photos of Lucky in a state of bliss in her paper pile:

    Lucky was having a ball!
    Mave: “I don’t get it.”

Things like this can be so simple that I can’t believe when I see gorillas in a zoo who have very little enrichment, and eat red cabbage (that they don’t like) almost every day….you guys go to such lengths to create fun experiences for them!

Thank you, Jerrols, for recycling and supporting CSNW. .If parents only knew how much money they would save and how much fun their children would have with a big roll of paper and all the boxes that they’ve saved from delivery of online purchases and gave those instead of very expensive gifts which sometimes get put away after only one day. it looks like the chimps had a great day.

Wow! It’s a wonderland of paper!
Lucky was in heaven! She was having so much fun. Honey B, too. I know she’s a lady who also appreciates a good paper pile.

What a fun idea!! Cy and Honey B enjoyed the forage. I enjoyed the visual of the sea of crunchy paper with the little chimp heads bobbing about. Lucky was enjoying herself so much she was making music to show how happy she was by running her cup over the mesh and crunching the paper with Kelsi as the backup instrumentals slapping, clapping, and stomping. That was so much fun to hear! And Mave? I think she was ready to nest and take a nap!

    Thank you Jerrol’s!!!!
