Sometimes, a blog post just appears.
Like today, when Ellen told me that Missy was sitting in Negra’s usual nesting spot with a tomato blanket draped over her shoulders. The blanket was purchased with Missy and her love of tomatoes in mind, of course.
When I went to snap some photos, I saw that Missy was sitting with her stocky legs straight out in front of her on top of the nest that she was borrowing from Negra, with her perfect (toma)toes curled with contentment.
The photos aren’t the best quality, but the subject matter is what makes them winners in my book.
Snoozy Missy all cozy in her tomato blanket is just the cutest! It seems like Negra’s vacated nests are something of a hot commodity!
She took Neggie’s nest, and it had the wolf blanket, too!
I hope the Queen wasn’t too put out!
Oh the story these photos tell! Thanks for your description because I could see a few scenarios for this scene. 🙂 Is there any chance Missy was wearing that tomato blanket when she took over Neggie’s nest or was the tomato blanket just laying there on top of Neggie’s nest, calling Missy‘s name? As a symbol, I could certainly understand how Missy wound mistake this nest as being constructed just for her because of the tomato blanket. But either way, poor Negra looks disappointed and not quite sure what to do with herself. 🙁 Sigh……That last photo of Missy is priceless.
