Enjoy the Small Things

March 23, 2024 by Sabrina

If there’s one universal truth we learn when we work with animals, it’s the fleeting nature of life. One moment, everything seems perfect, and the next, you’re grappling with the unexpected loss of a beloved friend. Their absence is felt for days, weeks, and even years after they’re gone. This poignant experience also teaches us to never take the small things for granted and to cherish the moments of joy that come our way.

In today’s blog, I want to share some of these joyful moments that we’ve experienced with Jamie’s group this week. I invite you to take a moment to take a breath, to let your worries slip away, and to revel in these heartwarming experiences right along with us.

So what did Bubba do with the boots? I’ll be he showed the proper respect and brought them to Jamie.

Burrito playing with the Boss’s boots, and the toes are still a-tapping!
I SO want to give that young man a day in a bouncy house….could you imagine!?
I don’t think we’ve seen the Portrait Studio from that angle before. The Biss was definitely not pleased.
And finally, Neggie being groomed by The Boss herself!
Thanks Sabrina! (psst…video is missing contact info outro )

Please give Betsy and Meredith scratches and hugs (and give what signs of affection you can to Honey which she will accept).

    Was Burrito …
    (A) making off with Jamie’s boots?!
    Or, was he …
    (B) kindly collecting them to give to Jamie?
    I’m going with (B). 😉
After being so very considerate, I was happy to see Burrito having ridiculous fun on his favorite bouncy toys. Well, until the roving camera woman cramped his space and forced him to flee and in his haste, drop is toy from his mouth!! That cracked me up.

Thanks for sharing these snippets of sweet everyday moments.

Aww, Bubba is so silly! He loves that jolly ball, huh? Might be a new all time favorite.

A great way to start the day–with a smile!
