A Private Dinner with Honey B!

June 17, 2023 by Sofia Castro-Loza

Today’s blog video features a private dinner with Honey B. While everyone was eating in the front rooms, she was patiently waiting in the greenhouse for a caregiver to serve her. She wanted her private meal in a specific order: corn, red peppers, bok choy and then night bag.

Mave eventually brought her night bag to the green house to finish her dinner close to her friend

Ah, Honey B! A chimp after my own heart! And I love that after all those years of torture they get to have a dinner served to them just like that! Thank you to all of you who make their lives so great!

What fun! So I must admit that when my father used to smack on his food out loud it drove me crazy. Somehow (of course!) watching Honey B (or any of the chimps) smacking, schlurping and chomping is TOTALLY ENDEARING!!! I chuckled my way through this video twice and will go back for a 3rd “helping”, I’m sure! Thank you, Sofia, for making my day! Such a treat to see her enjoying her food with such gusto.

Sweet sounds of slurping such delicious, colorful, fresh veggies, topped off with a popcorn bag. This could be a good video to encourage kids to eat healthy. Thanks, Sofia.

Nice to see the bovines eating their ‘treats’ and displaying their impeccable table manners in keeping to their own dish!

Honey B sure gave me an appetite watching her crunching and enjoying her delicious food. I must say the night bag goodies looked yummy! And as Maureen mentioned after years of torture and fear, this lady is living the good life and is well loved and cared for. Thanks for sharing…
I ‘ m off to dig up some veggies for lunch.

On the plus side of that spill, last year there where spontanious eruptions of zucciniplants sprouting ( or pumpkin )….maybe this year a greenhouse full of sunflowers……

Thanks for inviting us to Honey B’s private dinner. Must be fun to eat in peace while observing yourself in the phone (I’m assuming that’s what she’s doing). I like HB’s corn eating technique! When it came to the night bag, she seemed determined to get to her favorite bits first, passing over (and spitting out!) the sunflower seeds to get to the good stuff first. What’s her favorite item in the bag?

I chuckled seeing the cows all in a row enjoying their feast. And keeping with tradition, Meredith is not in sight! :). To rach their own!

This was a short personal salute to Honey B. Really enjoyed it, but the bovines were a delight. They are so polite to each other..
