Welcome Sabrina!

March 24, 2023 by Anna

Last month we added our newest staff caregiver Sabrina to the team! Sabrina comes to CSNW with a wealth of  experience from her former job at Chimp Haven in Shreveport, Louisiana.  The last few weeks she has been learning our cleaning and safety protocols and starting to sow the seeds of friendship with the chimpanzees.  Next on the training docket she will learn to operate the remote doors and shift the chimps around their enclosures for cleaning.  At that point she will also take on the task of blog writer and get the opportunity to thoroughly introduce herself to all our followers.

Welcome aboard Sabrina, we’re so lucky to have you!

Welcome Sabrina! So nice to meet you.I wonder if the chimps think you may be an Orangutan with your gorgeous red hair.i know that sounds silly, but that is where my mind went to the minute i saw you.Give yourself time to learn all the chores and responsibilities of your new position.Cannot wait to read your blogs and perspective on your amazing job!So glad you are on this incredible team.

They’ll perhaps confuse her with Kelsi

    Welcome, Sabrina!
Looking forward to seeing you in the blog!
I just finished watching today’s presentation, since I was busy and couldn’t watch live…and was sad to see that we missed out on most of the part on the Californians! :pensive: I gleaned from what the others said that Cy and his magazines were instant stars!

I think the recording started just as Diana was finishing up her presentation. Cy’s love of magazines and Dora’s and Mave’s sweet relationship were big hits.

Warm welcome to Sabrina. Spring is a good time to start at the Sanctuary!

Thanks, Mark! I caught the part about Mora–just missed Mr SuperStar Reader himself, then

Welcome, Sabrina! looking forward to ‘meeting’ you in the blog. Great for CSNW to have additional caregiver expertise (nice chops from Chimp Haven!) 😀

Hello Sabrina! So nice hearing you filled the empty space and, with all your experience, you’re now a part of the caregiving team. Enjoy getting to know each chimp (and cow!) as well as your new surroundings in WA. Lucky you!

As a Louisiana native, now living in the Northwest after relocating from California, I welcome you to the beauty and the cold. How wonderful that you have Chimp Haven experience. You started off well at CSNW by the ‘showing of the boots.’ We look forward to your blogs.

Welcome, Sabrina. It sounds like you come with lots of chimp experience so it shouldn’t take you too long to learn the ropes here at CSNW. I look forward to reading your blogs. Be warned…Honey B is a mischief maker, especially when preventing the remote doors from closing!
