This past winter was long and arduous.
Annie, during yesterday’s lunch forage:
But it’s behind us now.
Jody:
From now on, it’s all green grass and sunshine,
Missy:
and dining al fresco.
Negra:
Afternoons will be spent taking lazy walks around the hill.
Burrito:
The air will be filled with the songs of birds and the whispering of leaves as we gaze across the verdant valley below.
Jamie:
We can all relax now and enjoy this time.
Foxie:
Because the one thing we know for certain is that winter is over.
This morning:
Oh well, at least it won’t be long…
…until spring returns.

Spring is definitely coming, we had snow last week too here in Edmonton, so fear not! Thanks for all the pics of “The Seven” they are so beautiful! Please say hi to Annie and Negra for me!

Great pics.. excellent narrative… yep… just to remind us what’s in the rear view mirror spring brings us some snow… but that is the glorious part of living where seasons give us and the chimpanzee people fresh views of our world, sometimes many seasons in a single day! Enjoy it all! CSNW residents, caregivers, volunteers and all those who follow – you make me smile every day. Thank you.

If anyone else had written this post, I would have scrolled along knowing these springtime forages would be an everyday occurance from here on out. BUT…I did notice that you, J.B., were the author of todays post so I scrolled s-l-o-w-l-y with a slight touch of trepidation expecting to see another snow dump on the hill. Whew! I am happy to see the snow is no match for against the strength of the sunshine. Forage on!!
As we say in my household, April can be a cruel month.
Loved the individual photos of the seven. They brought sunshine into my dark rainy day!

It’s Crazy, Thursday afternoon 73*, Friday afternoon 43*….. What ?
As a native, I should be used to it by now. It is always funny to pass one person in a huge coat, followed by someone in shorts and sandals, it’s just spring in Seattle.
I’m glad the 7 have embraced whatever our crazy weather brings them, hopefully the Lucky 9 will feel that way too, when they get more outdoor fun.:revolving_hearts:

I could hear the angelic harp and rising chorus as I read the blog, and then…. KLUNK-SCRAPE-GLASS BREAKING…. If only ’twere true.

OK. This isn’t a comment on the blog. It’s just a personal story. Probably not appropriate but I’m among friends right? Just a quick story.
In Spring of 2012 my late husband and I took a cross country trip from Florida to California. We left in shorts and flip-flops. When we got to Flagstaff Arizona there was an awful snowstorm And they closed I 40. We found a motel and got out of our truck in shorts and flip-flops! Fortunately that motel shared a huge parking lot with Walmart! And Cracker Barrel! So for two days we dressed warm and ate well.

and made snow angels!

And, after all, snow is only a form of Oxygen dihydride that hasn’t yet warmed up to its immediate surroundings.

That’s hilarious! Thank you, JB!!!

Oh, sorry about that, JB. But it’s just a dusting! I can see green peeking through!
Thanks for the pics! I love an outdoor lunch forage!

Ahh, that time of year. One day it’s near seventy and the next it’s gone down thirty degrees. But I’ve seen just the few odd snowflakes. In general I can summon up my local forecast in three words…Wet and Soggy!

Loved this post J.B. Beautiful pictures of those sweet Chimps and a great narrative to go along with them – Here in the Midwest, we too have those “build a snowman one day and the next day it is gone” days. Enjoy it all!
