So far in their short time at the sanctuary we haven’t seen Cy and Gordo spend a lot of quality time together. They both seem to gravitate towards other members of their group for socialization. This morning was a different story though. Just before breakfast, Kelsi captured them playing this odd but entertaining box game. Make sure to watch the video all the way to the end for a bonus clip of Gordo’s AMAZING play face!

Hi, Anna!
Thanks for posting that!
It started off like a shield–“this! is! Sparta!”….but once they discovered the holes, it was more like something my cat would have played at.
Fun, either way!

Just like kids at Christmas, box is more fun than the gift…

Burrito has his bouncy giant Kong, these boys have their tomato box. And man are they having fun with it. Scuffing their feet on it, peeking through the holes, stuffing magazine pages through the holes, hiding behind it, biting it and head-butting it — 101 fun uses for a box! If I hadn’t read your story first Anna, I would have thought these two goofballs were long time BFF’s. Sure looks as if these two are becoming best friends. That’s the magic of sanctuary.

Just yesterday I asked how Gordo and Terry got on, and then there is this video the next day….
I am so happy Gordo is coming out of his shell, and with all that bouncing and laughing he sure reminds me of another lovely funny goofbal……( in case you didn’t guess, that would be Burrito ).
How much fun can you have with a flat box with holes in them.
When Gordo started putting newspaperpieces through the holes, it reminded me of myself as a kid, using used envelopes and sliding them through every opening that looked like a letterbox. Great fun!
