Amongst the Green Grass

May 5, 2021 by Kelsi

One of my favorite times of the year in the chimp house is when the grass is green and tall. Like so tall that it’s hard to find the chimps. Though, it might make it harder to do checks, I love that they can explore Young’s Hill stealthily.

Jody walking in the tall grass.

Don’t forget, today is the last day of GiveBig! Help us reach our goal of $45,000. Six new chimps will be here very soon and we are so close to finishing the new greenhouses! Every little bit will help.

Gorgeous colors in the grass! The tall grass and the chimps seem to be glistening in the sunshine! Beautiful. I always feel squishy good inside when I see photos of Foxie’s back and shoulder “bed head”.

Hope you meet your Give Big goal. My fingers are crossed. As always the chimps have incredible supporters offering up matching donations. (Their generosity makes me feel squishy good inside too!)

I had no idea this place existed until reading about it on Gallery One’s website. I love to see this and to know that these amazing sanctuaries are closer to me than I thought. One of these photos of Jody would be a great addition to our upcoming Membership show at Larson Gallery.
