That new doll smell!

October 19, 2017 by Anna

A couple of weeks ago we introduced you to Foxie’s new love of a purple haired Strawberry Shortcake doll. Well yesterday her new shiny friends arrived in the mail! Foxie was so excited that she wanted us to playfully chase her around holding the box before she could even bring herself to cuddle them.

She can hardly contain herself with the anticipation of so many new dolls! 🙂 How sweet is that? It’s odd that the other chimps don’t come over to see what’s going on or do they just know that those dolls are just for Foxie?

Jody was a little interested, but generally everyone lets Foxie have her fun 🙂

Has Foxie ever received that many brand new dolls at once? Wow! Foxie is so small she doesn’t have enough pockets to hold them all! Seeing Foxie so happy makes me happy. And Katelyn, I think you were as excited as Foxie was.

I have a question about the chimp house after watching this video. This video gives a great view of this section of the chimps home. I didn’t realize there were individual interconnecting rooms there. I am assuming these make nice getaway rooms for the chimps. Do any of the chimps choose to use them to have some private time or do they go to these rooms more to interact with you caregivers?

The front rooms have a multi purpose use for the chimps. The chimps like to nap and nest on the raised benches in the rooms and there is definitely a bit of added privacy. There are also food shoots there that we can use for serving larger items.

Thanks Anna! And do recall seeing past blog posts with the food shoots. Thanks for jogging my memory on this. Interesting to see the different perspectives of the private parts of the chimps home.
