OMG–what a difference. I can’t imagine what she thought about coming out of a tiny steel cage with no blankets, toys, enrichments to a spacious place with bright light and giant toys. I am so happy she has such a wonderful life now. Her arms are no longer skinny sticks but have muscles. Just loved this video. Gonna go and watch it again now

While watching the video, directly to the left on my computer screen is the image of Jody today in your graphic for CSNW “Bring Them HOME” Campaign for Expansion. I couldn’t watch the video without seeing this image of Jamie at the same time. Made for a very interesting and shocking dichotomy. While Jamie looked like a ghost of herself, I still marveled at how she was inherently still Jamie on the inside. Upon arrival we see she was curious, working, thinking, problem solving, and yes, rocking shoes as a fashion statement (sneakers instead of boots and a trendsetting way of wearing that sneaker too!). This reality knocks a little bit of air out of my lungs. How did Jamie with her will, determination, and intelligence exist in the isolation and despair of the biomedical world?!

Thank you Diana for sharing/showing this vital reminder of how very important sanctuary is for all chimpanzees still awaiting their chance to be who they were meant to be. And thank you for loving and understanding Jamie.

What a difference now she has a fully enriched life with her own kind for company. In this day and age of technology no animal of any species should be made to suffer. So glad she has now has a wonderful life. Thank you for all you do and here’s to the expansion
