Sweet, sweet Jamie

August 20, 2009 by Diana

I took these photos a couple of weeks ago. When J.B. posted the video of Jamie nesting, I remembered I had them. It’s pretty unusual to see Jamie actually sleeping. She is so active and watchful that I often joke that she never sleeps.

But when the nest calls…

Beautiful! She looks so peaceful. I wonder what she’s dreaming about???? That’s exactly the position I usually sleep in but Jamie’s hair looks much better then mine!!! I’m always amazed at how large these guys are. You can definitely see how powerful she is in this pic. I always have a hard time visualizing them compared to a human.

That is one comfy looking nest.

She looks so sweet. 🙂 With a little bunch of grapes right there to munch on when she wakes up.

And LOL – is that a thong? How daring!

It’s hard work being the most dominate in the group and sometimes a “nap” is in order..

Notice how she intertwines the sheets into the caging, in the wild they will intertwine the branches of trees to make sure the nest is secure high in the tree tops.

Sometimes she will intertwine the sheets or blankets so tight that I have had to cut the material to get it undone. Don’t worry there are plenty of sheets and blankets for all.

Sweet dreams to you Jamie, sweet dreams……….

Thank you for pointing that out! I didn’t notice but am so glad to know!

Anna – funny! It does look a bit like a thong. It’s her favorite bikini top – at the ready for when she wakes up.

Oh you are so right about sweet, sweet, Jamie. She looks like an angel. Go bikini Jamie!

She has a smile on her face. Peace. Hmmm, makes me think its time for a nap myself…it is a very sweet and emotionally powerful photo to see her this way!

That is definitely an “Awwww” picture. So sweet. I thought it was thong too…LOLOL! Was wondering if Jamie was getting daring.
