We try to use this blog to share meaningful stories about the Cle Elum Seven — what they went through during their time in laboratories or how they’re experiencing sanctuary — or to talk about some interesting aspect of chimpanzee behavior. But sometimes I’m just so astounded that we get to look at these faces every day that I have to share.

Foxie is so BEAUTIFUL. as is all her sisters and baby brother,Burrito,,
FOOD makes them all so happy.. after yrs of lab life,,
Sanctuary life is HEAVEN and a HAVEN,
filled with love
and GENUINE care and concern
from
staff and volunteers.
Love of Troll Dolls,
or a Love of an overabundant supply of fleece blankets
for creating, huge, elaborate NESTs
or
a love a Popper Toy
, or
love of cowboy boots
or
love for all foods,
or
love of brussells sprouts, leaf romaine lettuce,
or
love of paper and crayons,or pens,
or
love of the outdoors.. to climb bamboo trees
or
love of Youngs Hill ,,,
or
an absolute love of sitting in the day room, and just gazing outside for hours,
its okay . . . .
these are just some of the simple things ,, these beautiful chimp persons love to do,,
things that most of them have never had,
they’ve all been handled and controlled humankind , some nastier than others,
but at CSNW,, they are as close to being FREE, as they ever will be..
and
It agrees with them all, as individuals and as a troop..
Each and every day..
is a new day
Its absolutely filled with the best
Life is finally simple for them…
life is easy and carefree
